The Ultimate Stocking Stuffer Ideas Gift Guide
My husband told me that growing up he could never sleep on Christmas Eve because he was SO excited that it would keep him up ALL NIGHT! As a kid, he and his brothers would wake up super early on Christmas Day. They weren’t allowed to open their Christmas presents until their parents came downstairs and after everyone ate the Christmas meal. So, to keep 3 excited kids occupied on Christmas morning (and perhaps to have a nice lie in!), they were allowed to open their Christmas stockings!!
So here, I’ve collected a range of ideas for the kids in your life – kids big and small! I hope it brightens their Christmas morning! Most of these items are UNDER £10, and some are less than a fiver!!

Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Kids
1. Make Your Own Tower Bridge Model – £4
For the little architect in your home! These educational building kits don’t require any tools or glue making them perfect for keeping youngsters busy on Christmas morning! The recommend age is 3 years and older, but I don’t know a three-year-old who would be able to build this without help. Although, they could work on this with an older sibling! Multiple kids occupied and working together? Can I get a high five? See what other models are available here.
We’re huge Melissa & Doug fans in our house. Why? Because these brand of toys are long lasting and fun! This is a great little gift for the kid who loves playing with water. You can take them in the bath or to the beach. AND because they’re NOT squirters they’ll never get filled with that horrible scummy slime you get with other toys that take in water – ewww! These are great for that reason alone! Check out all the other great Melissa and Doug toys available here.
3. Crayola Crayons – £1.50
These are perfect stocking stuffers because they’re cheap, they’re liked by all kids and they’re great quality. Can’t do better than that!
4. Sophie The Giraffe – £12
Although this was created in 1961, I think the rest of the world was in the dark about this French nursery toy until fairly recently. And now it seems, it is loved all over the world. It’s a little pricier than the other items in this stocking stuffers list. So depending on your stocking budget, you might want to save it for under the tree. Either way, the baby in your life wants one of these, whether they know it or not!
5. LED Book Light – £8
My kids are avid readers. My oldest won’t contemplate closing her eyes until she has read for at least an hour before bed! And so we’ve been through A LOT of book lights in our time. This LED book light is the best one we’ve come across yet. And it’s STILL going in a house of three rough-playing kids. So this is kid-proof, it’s great quality and your book lover (young or old) will swear by it!
6. Rear View Spy Glasses – £4
Spies are cool! And this little toy will certainly light up the face of its glad recipient. Great for both boys and girls, the only warning I’ll give is that you’ll need to keep an eye on what your little spy is up to!
7. Water Magic Colouring Pad – £6
I love my kids doing art. But I hate the mess. Which is why I’d happily have my kids use these all day. They’re essentially painting pads that use water to bring out the colours. No paint. No mess. Just lots of fun. A perfect stocking stuffer! See the full range of these pads here.
8. Fluffy Owl Pen – £1.75
How could I resist the urge to list some stationery here? The truth is that, if I had my own stocking, these’d be going in! They’re cute and practical. A fun addition to a girl’s stocking this Christmas.
9. The Snowman book – £6
A beautiful Christmas story based on the classic festive movie – The Snowman. I think a book is an essential stocking stuffer for kids (or adults). Get them reading and their minds will expand all on their own! Check out these other great Christmas book options here.
10. Playing Cards – £1.50
Need to keep the kids occupied for an extra hour or two on Christmas morning? Cards! If your kids know a couple card games, they can be occupied for ages without the help of any screens. If you’re dreaming of a more traditional Christmas, then you’ll want some traditional games.
11. Pop Rainbow Magic Ball – £2
This puzzle ball has had rave reviews so it’s definitely on my list as one to get this Christmas. Get this: it’s an educational, logic-building, stress-relieving puzzle that helps to build hand-eye coordination! The aim is to get the right balls popping out of the correct openings. AND it’s so cheap!! Gotta love that!
If you have a Lego fan in your house (and who doesn’t), you’ll definitely want to check out the range of smaller building sets available. Like this Puppy Lego set currently going for less than £4! Be sure to check out this huge range of smaller Lego sets here. Everything is awesome!! 😉
13. Light Spinner – £2.25
I remember when I was a young girl, we had a light up disc that rolled up and down between two metal rods. I was fascinated by it. But I know those toys aren’t very cheap. This, however, is a steal! You pull two strings which send the toy spinning around. Perfect stocking filler – especially as the batteries are also included. Nice!
14. Stretchosaurs – £2.75
Your little dinosaur lover will love these stretchy dinosaurs. They come in a pack of about four of all different colours. We have lizards and my kids love playing with them. Mostly because they stick to the walls without falling off – especially when thrown from a distance Don’t ask!! But don’t worry, your paint and wallpaper are safe as they peel off like Post-it Notes!
15. Wooden Balloon Car – £2.75
I LOVE the idea behind this car. It has ‘homeschool must-have’ written all over it! First off, it’s wooden (who doesn’t love wooden toys?). But it’s also a science experiment at the same time as the car is put into motion by the force of the air escaping from the balloon! What’s more, as the car is in its natural wooden state, your kids could spend a day ‘pimping up their ride’ with some paint and stickers. This will make racing them all the more fun! Science – check. Art – check. Fun – double check!
Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Women
1. Ferrero Rocher – 200g – £3.75
All because the lady loves…chocolate balls! I love Ferrero Rocher. The only thing I don’t like about them is that they also sell small packets. Why in the world??? I don’t want a small 75g taster of Ferrero Rocher. I want a curl-up-on-the-sofa-with-a-chick-flick box of chocolately moreishness, please!
2. Doodle Pen – £1.50
Women like stationery more than they care to admit! (At least I do!) And this cute pen from Paperchase makes a great little stocking stuffer. 6. Stanley Pocket Tape Measure 5m – £4

7. Zacro Bicycle Tool Kit – £7
It’s so handy to have all these tools in a small, portable kit. Because, as any cyclist knows, chances are you’ll need to access such tools when you’re not at home. And it’s no fun walking home an out-of-service bike laden with food. Don’t ask!
8. Office Shine Sponge – £2.50
I bought one of these when I purchased some boots from Office last year. And this small shining kit is really handy. It contains a sponge that’s lubricated with a special oil. So you won’t need to buff your shoes with a brush. Just rub it on and watch it shine! And although the sponge had oil in it, it never leaked. So this is perfect for a briefcase or to keep at the office and ensure your shoes always look top notch.
9. Parker Pen with Gold Trim – £8.50
He’ll feel like a boss with this pen. I love the fact that it has an elegant gold trim. It’s a Parker pen, which means quality – but at a really affordable price. Perfect stocking filler kudos all around!

The L’Oreal Men Expert has a huge range of products tailored for men. This gift set makes a useful addition to any gym bag. Maybe couple this treat with a gym membership for the New Year – it’s one of the most stated New Year’s resolutions.
11. iPhone Armband – £7
I prefer working out at the park than at the gym. And if your guy does too, then he’ll really want one of these! It’s a phone holder that also has a little pocket for your front door key. So you can really enjoy going for a run without holding anything or feeling that annoying jingle of keys on your leg. The more enjoyable your workout, the more you’ll do it. And using an armband means that you can listen to your workout music and feel completely free and lightweight at the same time. Christmas stocking sorted!
